| All in all, | Excellent, albeit it lacks some of the most important features of the Jaadu apps (e.g., audio transfer of Jaadu RDP or copy/paste from the desktop to the iPhone). Therefore, if you still aren't a LogMeIn user and your networking model does allow it, Jaadu VNC or Jaadu RDP seems to be a better, more featureful choice. If, however, you're already a LogMeIn user or want to access more than one computers in the same subnetwork and don't want to assign different listening port numbers to different computers (and accordingly configure the router), this may be the better solution. | Excellent! If you don’t mind the inherent disadvantages of RDP, this is one of the most recommended titles. | Excellent! If you don’t mind the inherent disadvantages of the networking model, this is one of the most recommended titles; particularly if you only have a "slow" 3G (as opposed to the much faster 3G S). | If you really want the best, go for Jaadu's apps (or LogMeIn if you want to / can only stick with LogMeIn access and its lacking features (Unicode, audio transfer, copy/paste to the iPhone) aren't a problem) instead. | While Jaadu's apps / LogMeIn are definitely more powerful and/or versatile (see e.g. LogMeIn's independence of the networking model), if cost is an issue, check it out - in its price category, it's definitely the most recommended app. | See recommendation / options with Mocha VNC. The (current - but not)near) future) lack of Win7 support may be a problem, though. | Somewhat better than the other free RDP client, Mocha. However, it can’t really held a candle to Jaadu RDP (when you need to stick with RDP) or LogMeIn / Jaadu VNC (if sticking with RDP isn’t compulsory). That is, don’t bother unless you absolutely must use a free app or need the multiple desktop support capabilities. | If you do need something like the SkyFire Web browser on Windows Mobile / Symbian, make sure you check it out. Otherwise, if you do need to stick with RDP, Jaadu RDP is way more capable (audio transfer, copy/paste, any resolution can be used etc.) If you aren’t forced to use RDP, it has about the same feature set as LogMeIn; the latter, however, has some advantages like being able to work in any network configuration (see the usual protocol comparison.) | Unless you want to control more than one desktops at once, not the best. Other options are, in general, better - even the free Mocha app(s) (unless you need RDP AND Windows 7 compatibility) - or iRdesktop. Go for Jaadu RDP if money isn’t a problem and you want the best set of features; if it is, even Mocha Remote or iRdesktop is much better a choice |
